The next meetup for the Queer Podcasters’ Network will be at The Apple Tree in Clerkenwell, central London on January 14th. It’s a free event, as always, but with a bit of a twist:
This month, as a bit of a post-Christmas venting, we’re themeing the event around all the stuff we got wrong when starting out on our podcasting & audio lives. It’s great to seem polished and professional most of the time, but that’s never quite the reality. So, for one night only, it’s time to fess up - come and share your stories of monumental upfuckery in the hope that we might feel better about our own failings.
Any newbies who come along are encouraged to take notes and avoid the same mistakes.
Tickets are here - the event is free and open to all LGBTQ+ podcasters, audio professionals and those who aspire to be any of those things. Please register your interest so we can let the pub know how many people to expect.
New email, new stuff coming
You’ve probably noticed we have a shiny new domain and email address and everything. We’re also on the lookout for a good forum-style community hub so that those who are outside of London can still be a part of the discussions, networking, etc. If you’ve any suggestions for a good platform to use (think Tribe, Mighty, etc.) please drop us a line, as we’re pretty much making this up as we go along, and a little help would be appreciated.
That’s it for now.
Have a great winter holiday season, and may 2020 be a cracking year for all of us.
Everyone @ QPN
